You might think so Bob, trade, just out of warranty are circa £55k at the moment.

I saw one the other day that is up for £55k trade that would retailing for £65k ish

They are really levelling out then.

Whilst I know that the auto 4.7 was launched 6-8 months after the MC, I would be interested to know the sales splits. I would suspect that the auto would appeal more for new sales (lots of people coming from DB9, Conti and 6 series/CL etc) and the MC more for used sales (enthusiasts trading up from 4200/GS). If that is the case then that explains why the MC appears to be £5k more used like for like than the auto. Mind you they are £5k more new too!

Hope you get your new drive as it's a bit quiet on here with only about five GranTurismo owners.

What sort of miles for a three year old one?

PS Another observation for the price differential is that autos tend to do more miles than the MCs.

Cars are meant to halve in value retail to trade over their first three years so a four year old 4.2 with 10k miles pa should be £35k for a private sale now.

Seen one for sale on PH for that but seem to start at 37k which is just a great car for the money.....Imust say even at 43k whoch most early ones at dealers seem to be up for is still a lot of pretty car for the money....

Indeed Dem, but what is most remarkable is the lowering of the 4.2GT still does not appear to be effecting the GS residuals.

Can you ever see a time where a GS is worth more that the equivalent GT????....now that would be odd.

I mean, the 4.2GT is still a great car and a big step forward design and build wise.

in the next year i can see a top GS going for more than GT.......

Agree with you but mainly due to miles as they hit Masers a lot for that.

Six months time, 15k 56 plate GS worth more than a 45k mile 57 plate 4.2 GT? The latter will be sub £30k trade by then.

Not as fast Matt but a totally different car.......Should be cheaper to run in the long term with 2 year servicing and a more reliable car.....But the GS will always be the better sports car.....
