Hi guys,

new to this forum and with a question :)

A friend has just a Zagato Spyder and the button on the dashboard that releases the rear hatch/boot, isnt working !

Given we cannot find a manual handle to open it up, I thought I'd ask you guys, maybe you know if theres a way.

I've checked the fuses and they are all good.
I cant hear the actuator working like the one of the filler cap.

Any chance ?

Cheers,

Chris

Sounds like a relay not functioning to me, to find out which one you really need the manual , or possibly a call to Andy Heywood of Bill McGraths maserati

It's a Maserati so chances are the relay is in the boot.....!

Not always Newton , like the coupes there's a whole host of them under the passenger footwell , located right next to the main fuse board

I've checked the fuses and they are all ok. Didnt see any relays there though but i was folded upside down in the passengers side floor, with a flashlight to actually see the fuses in the first place.

Shouldnt there be a manual lever of some kind ? Maybe a wire cable for emergencies ?

The Alfa in the avatar is an IMSA Alfa 75 - very wide and agressive car.
Its just a picture though. I recently added a 75 to my collection and I'm getting worked up to make it like that ;)

Well the GT and GTS have a red cable pull tucked under the (left I believe) rear seat bum pad, got to be worth a try, work your fingers underand fish around...

Is there no external boot key/lock then?

I havent, no.

I'm in Cyprus, so I doubt any of these specialists would want to help me, since I wont be able to take the car to them for a service or anything....

I'm on the phone waiting for him right now though. Hope he can help me.

Guys, I need another bit of info since you are so kind :)

I'm looking to replace the wheels as they are damaged and ... well, not very nice to be honest.

What is the wheel pattern and offset for this car ? I've been reading that its 5x98mm but I had a spare set of 17" 5x98 wheels and they wont go on.

Anyone know what bolt pat. I should be looking for and what offset ?
