Hope you all have a 13 amp point at the ready to plug in your new Maserati

Designed by a Czech designer Ondrej Jirec, the Maserati Tramontane is a luxurious lightweight electric supercar formed with different layers that connect interior and exterior of the car.

The main idea behind the Maserati Tramontane concept is to reduce the total number of body parts to make it a very simple and light car.

Running on an all-electric drivetrain, with the front wheels driven by one electric motor and the rear wheels with their own motor, the Maserati Tramontane measuring 4,250mm (167 inches) in length and 1,170mm (46 inches) in height is quite similar to the size of the Lamborghini Gallardo. To quote Jirec,

I wonder if this is what you can expect to see at Geneva.......boomerang lights on steroids

Why is it that when these designers do a concept it looks like something from Blake7...

Perhaps because it is so far into the future that it will hit the showrooms.

I think the real key point of this thread is that Maserati are investing in the future, and if electric cars are the way forward once the oil dries up, they won't be left behind.
