Crikey...I thought that would be a Gransport...I didn't even think it would be a 4200 for that money! Just checked and they do say 4200 so that is top top money. As you say that is Gransport Spyder money.

This is a collectors car so will fetch a big premium. Probably the buyer won't drive it. The last one for sale was in October 2014 at Nuvola and was offered at £39k I think. They made 360 of these - 180 for ROW and 180 for the USA so there are duplicate numbers (sneaky). Although they are 4200 not GS spyders I think the gearbox software was update and it has other GS improvements so its halfway to a GS.

Given that the GS Spyder is equally as rare, if not more so, I think it's fairly pricey. I'd probably still buy it though! Perhaps this is well priced and the GS Spyder is underpriced? As is the MCV.

In effect the Anniversary Spyder is a limited edition GranSport Spyder, but with some extra carbon fibre bits (which some like, others don't). I view them as more collectable and more valuable than a standard GS Spyder, as they are more rare. Only see about one for sale per year here in the UK, as opposed to at least 5 GS Spyders per year. Price doesn't look too crazy to me.

I agree Ewan, far rarer than the standard GS spyder and has a huge hunk of CF covering the hood bin...which I like esp in blue.

The spec is that of the GS Spyder. I'd rather have my "regular" GS Spyder because the 90th colour isn't for me, but I rather like the carbon bus and the blue weave through it.

You could argue the 90th should be more collectable as it's a special edition, or that the normal one is more collectable because each one is more individual in colour combinations.

In terms of numbers produced, I believe about 280 of the regular model were produced, with about 25-30 in rhd, as opposed to 360 90ths, but fewer rhd.

I know you can get a higher agreed insurance value on the 90th, probably due to the special edition. That's at the moment anyway, but I expect the two values will fluctuate around each other, but keep going up.

We know that 7 of the UK's 10-15 GS Spyders have been up for sale in the last 18 months (2 still on the market) but I think some have been knee jerk reactions to prices being £10k higher than last time we saw some on the market. It's only this last year that we've seen this many of them for sale and I'd expect them to return to hiding for a while. Maybe the 90th owners are thinking the same thing? That said, they're more likely to be "collection" cars.

Anyway, after all that, I think the difference is really preference now.

There are only 180 Anniversary spyders. 90 for USA and 90 for ROW with only 15 in RHD

D'oh, yes of course! Thanks... numbers 0-90 of 90 for America and 0-90 of 90 for ROW = 182

So yes, 2:3 is the ratio of 90th's:regulars and about 3:5 in RHD

Either there are two for sale or the same car is advertised twice, though this one seems to be a private sale.

I agree the number of GS Spyders for sale in the first part of this year was very unusual, normally one, possibly two come up for sale in a year.

The car at Meridien has sold, someone who fell in love with my Spyder but was too late to buy it, went to see the Meridien car last week but it had sold earlier that day.

He also looked at the other one, I forget where, but apparently it was a 'shed' so he didn't buy that one.

As an aside he has now agreed the purchase of a GS Spyder that was delivered new to Belgium and then almost immediately went to the US. LHD isn't an issue for him as he intends to keep it at his house in Switzerland. So one less in US and one more in Europe.

Interesting. Pictures might tell us if they're the same one or not.

Great that your interested party is now sorted with an extra one in Europe! Such a shame if the one at Autoficcina is a "shed" as it's one owner from new, and 16k miles. It would explain why such bad photos have been used for the advert!

How's your MCV treating you?
