Hi Guys

It's been a very long time since I had much to contribute to the forum, but I've always been lurking around on the odd occasion and it's good to see that the forum is very much alive and well.

I've not run my little beauty since last July as we have been in the process of relocating to Surrey; but now we are finally getting settled I'm off to collect my car from her secure garage in Shropshire and bring her back to our new home.

To say that I'm excited is a bit of an understatement! It will have been 9 months to the day since her last run out with me; and I'm hoping all will be well when I turn the key on Monday.

I know the car has been started and warmed up a few times and the battery has been kept topped up, but I do worry there may be unseen issues as these cars need to be used regularly. Anyway I'm sure it's something a 200 mile run will soon sort out!

It will be like driving a new car again after all this time!!

Best wishes to all

These cars are reliable David. Not been moving the 4200 that much for the last two years, but when i enter, everything is just like the last time i turned off.

Good to see you back to the forum, and back in your giallo granturismo.

Hey DH I hope you didn't leave the handbrake on as it will be welded to the discs.

Other than that just make sure it warms up and the thermostat works.

Welcome back David. It must have been difficult being away from her for so long. No way I could have not driven mine in 9 months!

I remembered not to leave the hand brake on, thankfully!
The battery has been switched off and trickle charged so I'm hopeful that electrically things should be ok.
I should think a check of fluid levels and tyre pressures and I should be back on the road - oh and road tax and insurance would be good too.
Can't wait!!
