Been for sale for over a year... deal to be had.
I made an offer (subject to pre-purchase inspection) which was eventually accepted. I think its a reasonable price - but I'll probably get a shock at all the costs of importing to Australia :(

If they will not take the car to SportsItalia in Southampton, then

Steve Moody at SMDG seems to have quite a few positive reviews on the Ferrai Forums.

If they cannot do it then would ask: http://www.carinspections.co.uk/
They will locate a nearby specialist to travel to inspect the car.
That's great to hear, as they also came recommended by Millennium Heroes.

Hi Jerome,
Has the exchange rate & duties improved so that importing from the UK is viable again?
A lot of these cars were brought into Australia before 2014, but then it became too hard / uneconomic.
Then you need to pay an authorised company to fix / certify it to Australian Design Rules for registration, which includes fitting child seat anchor bolts on the back parcel shelf.
Speak to these companies here and they can organise the freight / customs / ADR compliance etc.
But I think you'll find you'll be far better off buying ones already for sale in Australia.
My car came from the UK having been on UK roads for only 7 years and less than 50,000 miles.
From experience I can say it's a whole lot less grief to buy an original Aussie supplied one to overcome the myriad of rust affected nuts and bolts which I have replaced over the years.
Hey Bruce,
I think it is viable to import. But there is only one way to find out! And I know the process will be painful.

If you can recommend any importers I'd be appreciative!

Obviously it would be desirable to find one locally... but I have been looking for some time here in Australia, and they all either fall short (in my eyes) or are priced too high.

I just missed out on this one in Adelaide, where I am located:

Wish there were some photos of it both wrapped and unwrapped!

Some old, low res., photos when wrapped. There is an understandable unease with a wrapped car but this did look very nice.
From what you can see in the new photos the paintwork looks in great condition. Something to check on. Obviously.

That is awesome! Thanks so much! I actually think I prefer its original paint work, but interesting to see what was done!

I have been watching the market for GranSports in Australia for 8 years, buying mine 7 years ago. Back then the bottom of the market was $60,000 and I did better than that catching the vendor at a vulnerable moment. Interesting trends recently. We had a bunch of cars appear at $40,000 to $45,000 with 80,000 to 100,000 km which all sold. Then some low mileage examples have asked from $60,000 to $85,000 which have also sold. I hope they got their asking price. Either Covid has reduced the number of vendors or these cars are being discovered, as there are only 5 for sale on CarSales which is the lowest I've ever seen. Usually there are 12 to 15 max, never up to 20.

The importers I know are in Sydney like Road & Track who know how to do the ADR compliance. Ross is the boss there with all the importing experience. They serviced my car for a period.
I can't recommend the firm in Melbourne who brought in mine for the previous owner, as they had no idea about our cars. My right hand rear wheel alignment was out 15 degrees. It handled like a pig until I got it to an expert. So you need to find out who has done GranSports before with references.
