Am sure quite a few do......but we only represent the 2nd/3/4/5th owners of their older cars( see the owners list)....whereas they are only really interested in potential new buyers or those buying 2/3 year old cars under warranty....

Oh I don't know P. The initial sale is a biggy for the dealer no doubt, but a customer returning for part sales, service and repair (God forbid) is an equally tempting prospect, and one that's probably more profitable over the longer term. Now that dealers are price matching where they can, I bet forums such as this are very important to them and good on DL for straightening out the misunderstanding in this instance.

Agree Miles.

Frank, I would say CH are genuinely interested in my service business.

Plus last time I went there they said I needed two lower rear suspension arms.......18 month later, no issues raised by two MOTs or services about either part!!!!

Ewan,
a pity they relented as it would have been much more fun to give the previous owner £10 and ask him to make a Data Protection Act request of the dealer, then he might get more than just copy bills!
I noticed that you spoke highly of Graypaul. From memory do you know what their standard charge for an annual (4000 mile) service was the last time you used them?
