Whats black flagged mean.......

Told to get off the track. The marshals will waves a black flag, normally with the racers number but i this instance, the marshall will point at you. Normally done if someone has been a numpty by endangering others/themselves.

Thoughly enjoyable day and great to meet SM members. Thanks to Andy for organising this one and defo up for next one. Was given the final warning for noise on our last run, complaints from caravan park apparently ??? I did say surely the Mk2 escort was worse than me but he seemed to think not. Need to come up with way to keep in sport mode with valves shut. 2 big corks in order I think.

Corks can also be used to insert in the ears of unappreciative caravan dwellers. The heathens!

1 black flag and 2 cautions that's my best effort yet! Flag for holding a mobile as a passenger, first caution for going back out as a passenger when I had been told to have 10 minutes out and then noise tested cos he though I was too loud ! Thank god for valves :D

Awesome day and the car held up well considering it handled like a granny on acid!

Andy you owe Miles one lol!

Ask Matt....he has done a remote thing on his valves I think so he can turn them on/off independently from skyhook setting.

Great night (thanks Miles!) and great day @ Llandow. Great to meet & see you all.

I left Llandow just after 3pm & got to Stratford, East London @ 7.15pm! Just got back home after site meeting. Shattered!

See you all on Saturday

Thanks Andy for organising. Great job & much appreciated.

I enjoyed that Vantage with you very much. Not 100% sold on that gearbox though. Would need to be V12 manual vantage for me I think.

Thanks Andy for another super day,

The GTV decided to switch on the engine management light again when I hit a pothole on the way so it was quite challenging to trudge round the track in 'limp home' mode. :)
Instantly cured when I reversed onto the ramps when I got home (as it did yesterday) So if I don't hit another pothole before Saturday it should be OK for Brooklands track and hill. Tomorrow I will investigate further for a permanent cure.

Thanks also to Mike for the demonstration in the Skoda and also Pete (-R) for the Vauxhall 220 demo. It's interesting to compare other marques on the track, on track tyres.

MMMMMMmmmmmmm! those cakes Tess, Thanks.

Ha ha! sorry Phil, I shouldn't have reminded them about the black flag at the track briefing :) :)

That was a great day.
First track day. (Bloody freezing!)
Really enjoyed getting to push the QP.
Swapped rides with some of the Vauxhall VX220s at the end of the day. **** they are fast and tight.
And the VX220 drivers were very impressed with how the 2 ton QP handled. Let one of them take the QP out for a few laps. He couldn't believe the handling compared to his diesel beemer. Think we converted him (was really surprised that a mint 2005 QP could be had for £20k).

We left about 4pm - after a close clip with the lady novice driver (her second time out in the QP) and that Escort. She didn't seem him trying to overtake (or rather thought he was much too far behind to attempt). He didn't back off - both went into the chicane - close call.
Anyways... John had a few comments about that!

Will try to dig out come photos.

Thanks for organising Andy!!
When's the next one?
