We might be doing a pre 1975 challenge next year. MG, Scimitar, TVR and an old Aston so look out for us on the hard shoulder!

After realising just how close Le Mans is and how much fun the classic was, I'm quite keen to try the real one, sadly I was only given permission to have the QP for a year... So I suppose it depends on whether or not someone buys it from me... but then, there is this devil inside me that keeps forgetting to tell anyone that it's actually for sale!

Classic and Le Mans are totally different, one is a trip to France the other is Le Mans - just admit you made a mistake now do the real thing

Crikey Bill, your on the ball today. Even I dont start thinking about it till November.

Finishing up Monaco or Bust trip this week then I suppose I should book something for Christmas. Talking of Xmas (I know, its summer but places book up early) I think we are dropping Karting this year and may do a Hotel/Spa/Pool day instead.

Lyle Hill in Haslemere is a contender but Me and Mrs Conaero use it and would like to go back which might prove tricky when the SM massive have done with it.

Going to Honfleur is another contender. Over on the ferry from Pompey on the fast cat, bit of a tour/loop then on with the festivities.

Nice to see that consideration is being given to more northerly members who may like to attend ;)

Ah yes, the Northern members...who we put it out to a few years ago about moving it up the country and I think we had 3 hands of approval...so it was dismissed :)

Must have been before my time........

No, it was last year IIRC, Think Martin (MLC) kicked it off, and tho a few of us (Northen living) said yes we would, even if it was central uk -As opposed to up North, there was next to no take up from the southern possie and no real decision about possible venues, so after a 2/3 week window it was canned...

I was wrong - just had a look - Xmas 2017 - Went live for discussion Jul 6th and was canned by Jul 14th as not enough Northeners had put there names down and "some" Southerners wamped they were not going past Northampton.

It was me, guilty as charged. I still think that there's room for two Xmas parties, one for the south and one for the North. If separate dates many can do both. Any this is the Le Mans thread.... Drift...
