I just won an Ebay auction for 4 x 18" 7 spoke ball polished 4200 / Spyder rims with PZeros for $450.00 AUD!
No one else bid. Woohoo. I'll go to Melbourne next week to collect them.
This set of wheels will give me time to sort out the cracked GS front rim and hopefully provide a softer ride for her indoors to stop complaining.

Also can report a couple of weeks ago, I won the space saver spare from the same vendor for $50 AUD!
Again no one else bid.

So happy.

Little sympathy for the vendor. He must have known that there wouldn't be many bidders based on the previous auction. Still you've done well out of it. I wonder if he's just taking the eBay suggested starting price or whether he's actually putting thought into it?

Bruce,
Well done. Let me know if I can be of any help . As you know I had huge problems with cracked wheels. I know the wheel repairer who wellded mine if that is of any assistance.

Hello Bruce and Rob - can either of you point me to a Melb based wheel repairer for GS rims? I have a slow leak from my right rear - and on inspection the tyre seems fine, and the wheel may be buckled or otherwise in need of repair.

Also, would this place also fix curbing and gutter rash? I would not mind giving mine a tidy up.

Cheers,

Jeremy

I can dig out my invoice from the work done on my 3200 rims in Melbourne somewhere if that helps. They look pretty good right now. Might take a day..

I've fitted the 18's and can report the ride is much better.
Why did we get talked into 19's as standard?
Thanks for the offer Robert, I might have to take you up on the repairer if the one near me is not confident he can sort mine. I'm not in a rush as they will be just for concours events.
Interestingly he also offers cnc surfacing which might make an impressive look.
My bargain rims do need a freshen too, but that can wait till I replace the tyres. Though they looked to have good tread depth they are old.

If you want a perfect job repairing gutter rash use Zagame Tullamarine who have a specialist wheel repair workshop. They charge $260 per wheel for repairing gutter rash damage.
