Just back from holiday and picked up my newly acquired Gransport. Drove it to Tadcaster and back over the weekend to see family. Absolutely loving it. Had forgotten how well they drive. Haven't had a chance to give it a good clean yet. When I do I'll post some pictures on the thread, but here's one of her now put to bed........

Great car in one of the best colours...I was watching this car on the web for some time, glad to see it has a loving home.

Very lovely. Blu what... is it Mediterraneo ? How does it compare with the GTS, by the way ? I have in mind sharper handling due to the substantially reduced weight.

Looks awesome, love that colour.

I don't suppose you would be kind enough to do me a favour, and let me know the precise width of your garage. I'm considering renting a garage for my car.

Thanks

Yes, Blu Mediterraneo which I was a little unsure about initially, but has really grown on me. When I got up this morning and looked out of the bedroom window to see it outside my sister's house, I just couldn't stop staring at it and smiling.

I love the GTS, and there are things about it I shall miss a lot, eg the quality of the fit and finish, the additional level of comfort, the noise etc, but the Gransport feels smaller and more nimble, which is what I wanted. It fits in my garage with space to spare, and better on the city streets here in Manchester. I will address the noise shortly with a few exhaust refinements :)

It feels special in a different, more classic, way, and I love the look and feel of the interior, particularly the part carbon fibre wheel which is a thing of beauty to hold. There are a few leather squeaks and vibrations, but it will be fun to trace and resolve those over the next few weeks.

This car really feels like a keeper..........

Rossyl, the garage is 259cm wide, and the door opening is 209 cm. The GTS was tight, and I had to auto-fold the mirrors to get it in. Getting out inside required some limbo skills. The GS fits comfortably with space each side, no need to fold the mirrors, and its so much easier to get in and out.

Thanks very much

Good to hear the door opening is not too tight. I'm looking at a garage that is 236 cm wide.

I have positioned my car pretty centrally and it's comfortable on the driver's side. I suspect if you could reverse in closer to the wall on the passenger side, it should be OK, but limbo lessens might still be helpful

See, you're all too posh with this carpet mallarkey....I've got a wetsuit hanging by the door! :)

I have a narrow garage also, but never ever folded the mirrors for my GranSport as they were a good guide to the rear of the car, which is nearly as wide! My reasoning was that I would rather scrape a wing mirror than a side panel.
