I gave up on using solvent to remove the sticky coating - there's a ‘soda blaster' close to me and it works a treat.

Door strips look good, just wondering if the vents would be a step too far in GS as it has the other bits done all ready...

Hi David, if you don't mind me asking how much was the centre console cover and NIT cover you had done previously?

That looks pretty awesome, especially with your carbon wheel

I wonder how hard it is to DIY, there are a few kits about

simple answer its a nightmare - ive done a couple of small parts but you have to have the water at a constant temp and get the activator spot on or it looks **** - for the price i went back to my guy, he has done the center console (cup holder bit) and nit unit for£60. pick them up next week.

I have also done my moulding around the audio screen, its simple to get out and disassemble.

Thanks for uploading that; I'm wondering what mine would be like if I left the reverse selector part standard black which would go with the mirror switch and ash tray?
Or whether i already have enough now i've done the air vents and door trims.

Hi David
How easy is it to dismantle the flaps of the vents? For something so simple I cannot get them apart and I don’t want to break anything.

Quite easy , give them a gentle squeeze to oval them slightly and then unhook the flaps from the little knobs

The 4200's are too old for carbon fibre looking stuff, It just looks naff..

Originality is always the best!

Dave
The 4200 came with a carbon fibre pack. steering wheel and door inserts. Mine has it so doing the centre console would be very fitting.
