Years ago, when I thought that I might be able to afford a Ferrari 456, someone pointed out that if you have a front-end shunt at anything over 5mph, the carbon fibre bonnet shatters in the corner nearest the impact and then you have an £18k bill. Rather off-putting.
Man in the pub again! The 456M had the carbon fibre bonnet, the others were composite, no different to an Alfa GTV..

The irony here is that the place Scaf is probably talking about is Streamline Carbon in........Earls Barton
Actually I lied, it’s Remas Composites at Daventry so not Northampton afterall

When I had my 456 back in 2012 that bonnet is a work of art in my opinion but a very expensive piece of art all the same.
