Hi everyone

I bought what I thought was a 3200GT Alloy Fuel Tank cap. see attached photos.

However it does not fit my 2001 3200GT, can anyone tell me what car it does fit? so I can resell it online.

The part number on the box is 000190154

Cheers

Stuart

It is for a 3200/4200/GS but only those fitted with this type of fuel filler neck:

82721

Not this type:

82722

Would the vendor take it back rather than taking a hit on eBay?

OK so my car has the 2nd type of filler neck.

Is there an alloy one for that?

:DLooks like I'll be putting up another ebay advert then

This is a point of research that has puzzled me for a while.
Note that the vent system is different between the 2 types of filler necks, and therefore the emissions system is different.
Also, the aluminum cap neck is attached with 3 bolts and the plastic type with 4. The body panels are therefore different.
The alum. cap is the same as, and interchangeable with Ferrari.
I don't think this is a case of using whatever was at hand during assembly, as the systems were very different. If anyone knows why 2 different systems were used please let me know.
A survey done over on ML revealed that the alum. caps were used on early (classico) 4200s, and every one was on a Spyder. ( there may be some on Coupes, but no one had one. ) We didn't get 3200s over here so no data on them.
Edit: Mine uses the alum type, and I would be interested in a spare. What do you want for it ?
