Haunted

Perhaps you might have some advice , or at least some fellow experiences to share.

I know from reading these pages that I am not the only one to possess a haunted Maserati.
I have owned mine for around six months, completely without haunting until a month or so ago.
It rained without ceasing for days and when it finally stopped, coincidentally my 2008 QPV alerted me, by an audible warning, to a brand new light - never seen before (by me) on the dash. "Parking sensor failure" and smugly instructed me to return the car to a main dealer.
Well I have no intention of doing that, but I did assume that the parking sensors at the back were not working, so started taking extra care reversing. Various beeping and buzzing sounds emerged from the dash following start up of the engine. It seemed that sometimes more sensors were not working, sometimes fewer, but always at least one because the yellow warning light was always lit, sometimes a big one and sometimes a little one, but always lit.
Not any more.
I visited my Mum in law who has a steep drive, so I parked facing up a steep hill. I did try setting the EPB before taking my foot of the footbrake.
Since then the EPB failure warning light has been on too. Its got me worried about sliding down hills, although I've not slid anywhere yet - but do read on.....
Last weekend the drivers seat heater came on all on its own (a particularly worrying experience. Unexpected warmth in the seat of the pants.)
And quite suddenly today, a day after visiting Mum in law and after three of four sunny spring days, no dashboard warning lights at all. The EPB is behaving exactly as it did pre haunting. The front parking sensors were working well in the car park today (not tried the rear yet) and there are no untoward beeps or buzzes from the dash.
Haunted.
What do you make of it?

Even new batteries can drop their voltage or be dodgy. Battery conditioner or take it off and give it a decent charge and see how it is.

Check your voltage with a multimeter you could have Alternator issues with over charging.
Be careful.

I had a haunted, or seemed more like a possessed Alfa 147 back in the day. Ended up being a small leak at windscreen. The relay board was mounted horizontally just under said leak. It used to wipe screen itself, flash oncoming traffic itself, and the last straw sound its horn constantly at 2am! Went back to dealers.

Sounds like the visits to the Mum in law feature heavily in this story. Does she practice Voodoo or any other kind of Magic? It could be a curse...
