Can't believe I'm having to ask this question but I can't find the answer here, on google or on the Halfords bulb searchy computery thing...

Anyone know what bulb you need for a rear fog light on a 2009 GTS?

Oh, cobblers! Really? I have replaced one of them but can’t for the life of me remember exactly what with. Nothing bizarre, that’s for certain. They’re pretty accessible (somewhat better than front headlights) so can’t you just whip the blown one out and check?

I think it was the left rear. I thought it would be easier to google than physically check, obviously not!

We have a Seat Leon as a family wagon and it goes through bulbs like a tramp on chips. I think I may have parked the GTS a little too close and it's caught the disease.

One thing to look out for, Dave, is wires perishing where they feed in from the cabin to the boot. This can affect the operation of the rear lights and also the electronic boot switch. If you haven't yet learned how to open the boot from inside the car, make that a priority! You'll find a pull-cord under the dwab on the rear NS seat. Give it a tug et voila! - the boot opens. It's especially helpful if you close the boot while the battery is disconnected.

Top tip - will keep an eye out for this!

Well it's not the bulb. Loom through the flexi into the bootlid looks fine too, but i added some self-amalgamating tape to give it some more chaffing resistance.

Will get the multimeter out work out where the break is - once it stops raining.

That's odd. When the fog-light packed up about 2 years ago it was the wiring, which Ed at Christian Lewis kindly fixed for free while he was giving the car it's last major service.

Yeah, I saw a repaired cable when I had a poke about, but it still looked good. I'll do a continuity check when I get a chance.
