Ah the beauty of over allowance on the px to hide the margin.

hmmmm agreed !

And dealer has fitted new discs and pads. So £43K trade in, £2k worth of brakes and now retailing at £43K before haggle. I fear for what might be offered in PX on this car.

Whatever it still looks a good value GTS for someone without a PX.

Nice car for someone. Still very new, buy it and do 5000 miles a year to take it up to 10 years/100000 miles.

bigbob and James, you're both far too good at this!. £43k is about the right retail figure given the amount of mechanical and cosmetic prep required to bring it up to standard. We'll have full photos hopefully early next week. It is a beautiful thing,

Alistair

Bought too many cars over the years. Mate used to be an area manager for webuyanycar.com too so picked a few nuggets up!

Glad you are out there. No idea when my GranTurismo will go - not soon - but will give you a call when it does. Just make sure there is good demand for a 5 year old 40,000 mile one owner GTS Auto in 2016!!

Alistair, would imagine you will get some interest at that price even with those miles...If some has that money to spend on a GT most will think a 4.7 is not in reach but the pull of an S for 4.2 money must surely drag a few in....

We've had several enquiries already Andyk. As bigbob said if you are going to be covering a lower than average mileage there is some value in this MC especially with it's perfect provenence and 1 owner. The difference between the MC and a standard 4.2 is considerable and will be the difference, for some potential buyers, between buying a Granturismo or not.

Bigbob we'd be delighted to talk with you nearer the time about buying/selling your 4.2. We have experienced great demand for clean and well looked after price range (£35k-45K) Granturismos in the last 6-12 months the difficulty as always is the ability to source them, so don't be a stranger when it's time for a change!, Alistair

Will do. Good to see that there is strong demand. As the 4.2s get older then people will be keener to buy the 4.7 Auto like I have.

It's all relative bigbob. Broadly speaking potential buyers will enter the market place based on their budget which means the early 4.2's will always be the most accessible but you're right in so much as there will be buyers who will only consider a 4.7 and yours at some juncture will be a desireable example given it's colour scheme and spec

A car like this may have interesed me as I do very little miles, its a good buy for someone especially with new brakes.
I've just put mine on Pistonheads, I'm not totally sure I want to sell but I would for the right money.I've had a Maserati dealer after it but he wants to make £10k+ as he wants to pay about £13/£14k less than he would retail it for.I realise everyone is in business to make a profit but some dealers really try it on.If I get my heart set on another car then I may part/x it or try sale or return.
