Dennis, we're all on a learning curve. If we're not, I don't think we're alive.
I have family and good friends, both north and south. Both cultures never fail to charm me.
I plan to sail the Eastern Seaboard in a few years and coincidently, if you're ever touring Ireland,
let me know in advance and I'll show you places local to me that tourists rarely see and can recommend
where to go, right across the island. I'm on the North Coast of Northern Ireland for now.
Probably most of us here, would prefer analog, at least some of the time. I know that I would. And it's not about nostalgia either.
And your doggie looks gorgeous by the way! I'm a sucker for bigger breeds, like long haired German Shepherds etc etc.
Please do keep contributing. Hopefully, you'll encourage many more of our 'cousins' to join and be active! ;)
Appreciate all of that! I have generally followed the "if you're gonna be dumb, you'd better be tough" ethos, likely to my own detriment. Everything I have learned has come at a price...including the value of just living your life, in the real world.

I'm a veteran, and have had the good fortune of visiting just about every country/continent, and making friends all over; I must say that Ireland/Northern Island are absolutely gorgeous, and I would welcome a return engagement! Likewise, as you make your way down the Carolina coast it would be a privilege to meet up with you. I still have the vast majority of my family in southern Italy; though I was born in the States, we are still relatively recent immigrants...

The Pyrenees pictured is a now 7-month-old fluffball; her sister is a long-haired GSD, and her brother is a short-haired GSD. We also just recently lost our 9,000 year old mixed-breed shepherd; in all seriousness, she was 11 when we picked her up, and very poorly treated. We made sure her last three years were blissful, and all here are still feeling the void.

More than happy to keep engaging; this community looks to be quite the incredible collection of folks. And maybe we can succeed in grabbing some more folks off the Maserati Life forum...feels like a "both/and" to me...!
