Just notice that if I use the headlight switch to the P position the parking lights (front and rear LED strip) on my car do not work however they do work with the headlights on either Auto or using taking the switch to 'on'. Any ideas? Faulty switch, fuse?

I've never used them but I'll ask a stupid question - have you checked them when the ignition is off? On some cars they only work when you've turned the car off i.e. parked

Thanks - just tried with ignition off key in and then ignition off key out - did not work

Okay, another potentially stupid question - have you tried it in the dark? Maybe they are light sensitive like the auto setting

Tried mine, ignition out and they work fine. There is a loud beep until you close the car door.

Thanks for checking...I think it may be a faulty switch control unit. Not the end of the world but will have it checked out when next in...

Thought I would update you on this - was a pinched wire behind the dashboard that caused this error - took Maserati a week to diagnose as they had never experienced this on any car before - they changed the control unit too but it still didnt work !

All sorted now :)

Thanks. Small things, big costs for Maserati. Got rid of the Ghibli?

Not quite - having a new steering wheel fitted too so just waiting for that part to arrive - I complained so much about the Ghibli they took it back and sent me a Guards Red Porsche 991 C2S - amazing car love it and so do the general public but not as mesmerising as my GTS :)

I'm still struggling to get over how big the 991 is even though it is smaller than a GTS. You don't see many, wonder if it is selling?

There are plenty around where I live - nice car's but I personally would not spend £80k on one as I know they will be £40k in 3 years time! The one I have right now has a sports exhaust and though not a patch on the sound my car makes it is pretty decent for the engine in the 991

991 not doing well on the used market as there seems to be huge volumes for sale pushing prices down. They are overtaking some gen 2 997's in terms of depreciation, but then I would say that wouldn't I.....
