Gran Sport Front Bumper

Hey guys I have a question because I've never really looked it up. I acquired another Gran Sport bumper. I was looking for the lower valance and so I purchased it. The more I thought about it the more I didn't want to dismantle the valance from my car again after painting it. If you guys remember I used a lower Face Lift valance on my GS front bumper because I couldn't find a GS valance at the time. Either way I was thinking of just sanding this one down prepping it for paint by sealing/Epoxy Priming it and if I decided to sale it how much it would cost to ship it back across the pond? Actually is it even possible without damaging it or nicking all the Primer up? I haven't really decided what to do yet that's why I figured this was the best place to ask. I can even color match it to a specific car's color code but I have this inclination by the time it arrived it would definitely be nicked up. Thoughts?

I suspect it's possible, if correctly wrapped.

Shipping may be expensive though. Some courier companies over here have on line estimators. Enter dimensions and weight and voila

Thank you Chris, not sure if it's even something someone would want to do. I like my 4200 with the front and rear GS bumpers. But I think it's like we were saying earlier not everyone can do it or would want to. I might just do all the prep work and stick it up on eBay. I know eventually a body shop who's repairing a car will want it especially, if it's going to be expensive to ship across the pond. I could be incorrect but it seems like this forum to me is more community based. They like to get together, modify or work on the cars. To be honest I wish I had someone close by I could repaint and put this front bumper on their car.......Maybe I'm in the wrong country? Either way I appreciate the response.

If it was packed in a rigid crate it would survive undamaged.

I want my front bumper fully re-painted which I suspect will cost close to £1000 to remove and re fit as well as all the prep.

Safrane, sorry I didn't answer earlier......been trying to work on getting this new scanner from AE. I guess I could crate it. I was trying to see if there were non traditional methods of shipping something of this caliber cheaper should it be necessary. I've shipped many different items but never one of this dimension before. So that was my concern. If shipping outweighed the benefit of doing it then it would be moot I'm guessing.

Alternatively for your car you could always fly me over I'll paint the bumper say hi to everyone and fly back! I'm always up for free vacation time!! Lol! I paint with an Iwata Supernova. Best gun todate I've painted with, Sata puts out a nice gun to but the Super Nova was designed by Pinin Farina, it's as nice looking as a paint gun can be.
