Cheers

I seem to reproduce it pretty clear consistency. I could probably hack up some bad SQL to indicate what I *think* is going on. Similarly the 'first unread' is still taking me to 'last read'
A minor irritation at most ;)

Gah

So it's going to be something like select last from posts where post_read=no and thread = new

But that's BS as well unless there is a different underlying query for new threads and threads where you've already participated / read some posts.

I'm going to shut up now :D

Since using the forum every now and then I receive an error “a server error occurred” at various times in the day, I just reload the page and continue to read. Recently it has been getting more frequently & this morning Ive had it six times so far.

I get this occasionally but it was particularly bad yesterday and this morning - maybe the hamster turning the drive wheel needs feeding

Ok, not seen this myself but we did take the server offline yesterday. We have the logs and Ill get tech onto it. Its seems after we applied a patch that this has started to happen more frequently. Bare with...

Good news we’ve had no server errors since the fix deployment and we’ve finally got to the bottom of going to the right place in the threads to the point where you last saw. Thanks to Catman for his time to test today.

Just some minor bits left with styling, we are going to style the posts like the old Forum and some other tidying up.

Seeing as how we have a like button for posts, any chance of a dislike button as well?

Another one fixed!

The old internal thread links to pages within the new site did not work as the url's were a different structure...they do now.

Coincidentally, I think I've just found this bug and came here to mention it...
Do you mean, for example, in this thread:
http://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/navtrak-info.5119/

Where you posted a link to:
http://www.sportsmaserati.co.uk/showthread.php/351-Rear-Parcel-Shelf-removal
which defaults to home as it's an old style link.

The correct new link should be:
http://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/rear-parcel-shelf-removal.351/

If so... it's not fixed. If not... I guess I've found something else!
Not a major issue for me as I figured the link out in a couple of minutes but others might not.

This place is such a wealth of information!! :)

Ah, spotted, its because that is .co.uk and we corrected .com only. Ive sent it to tech to get them to correct this.

Thank you.

Good job! Can you fix the battery drain on my car as quickly? ;)

I should have noticed, my password manager hit issues with the .com / .co.uk thing on the old site too which took me longer than I'd like to admit to notice!

We are still going, another one sorted today.

The stats at the bottom of the home page were spit over the .com and .co.uk addresses. This was one of the reasons the numbers were down. They have now been merged to show the same info.

Remember, the Who's Online is set to a maximum of 60 minuets where as the old site was 180 minuets so this is why the numbers online seem a little less that they used to.

With regards to posting, its bang on where it was so the traffic is exactly the same (there was an error on 14th July where it didn't record for some unknown reason):
