From my perspective this is great news. As someone thinking about buying a Granturismo (~2013-2016) imminently, this news makes the car a more attractive long term ownership proposition.

Well done.

But personally I don't care for all this tech and quite happy with just an engine a good body and a CD player.

I would be more than happy with a QP V with all its 'old' tech than the modern one with all its fragile electrics.

It looks good though, the apple car play not the video.

Seamless integration and I didn't know that the QP GTS had the magnetti marelli unit in there, I thought it was Bose Mk1 and Bose MK2.

At last the **** taking starts! 10/10

Gotta say - am please not to have to Bose as nobody is designing solutions for that s
Well done.

Each to their own! Love a bit tech me...

Driving while using your phone? So irresponsible ;)

That’s a belting vid, very amusing. What’s the beeping, is that just the park sensors? Overall, it looks superb. Love the idea of having something similar in my GS. Well done for breaking new ground.

Randomly, just looking at my profile pic and having just seen your nav on that video, I must have taken that pic just metres from where you live. I was living on RW Lane at the time.

I love this instal and am very tempted, even if it meant migration back to IOS from Android. Where does the kit come from and what does it cost?

Yep, noticed that.
I've been following with some interest.
My 2008 GT has a Mark 1 NIT. It doesn't have the USB or BT hardware, and as a consequence can't be upgraded to activate those functions.

I've been keeping my eyes open for a used later variant.
However, I'm not entirely sure how this unit connects to the NIT. If it does connect not via BT or USB, but by the system connector, would it be a means of also providing those BT and USB functions from itself

How long ago? An indeed I do live in that road and will till the kid finishes school...
Pic was taken maybe 7 years go. We lived in the end little white terrace/cottages by the speed bump on RWL, the one that just been extended.

Offered on a house up there again last week....then got told we wouldn't get our daughter in to Wood End as being 400m away was too far!

It's on my to-do list to grab a coffee with Jeremy, another Mas owing local. Will aim to line something up soon if you fancy joining too?

Cheers

It connects via a splice in according the the manual they sent me. Can't see any reason you shouldn't get BT and USB from it.

Deffo - I looked at those White Houses when we were house hunting! Let me know coffee times and locations - that would be great
