Do you go into N before R, or straight from 1 to R?

I have been advised to always go into N.

Sorry I can’t help more.

I have read that gear selection is one of the first signs of a clutch issue. Having said that my old MC went through phase of me needing to select 1st before it would select R but then corrected itself with no issues thereafter.

Can you give me the mileage of your car. I assume it’s the original clutch?

Make sure you tell us if it is miles or KM

So 100k km is about 60k miles. Clutches last 40-45k miles and start doing what you say, so maybe you are due a clutch.

The first thing I would do is reset the PIS to 4.19 then do a gearbox relearn. You might get lucky

I have the exact same problem and I know for a fact my clutch is fine @ 33% worn.
Like the OP it only ever happens when its cold outside, I have to let it idle for a few minutes before it will select R. Never a problem all other times of the year so it is definitely related to cold temps.
Slightly annoying as I reverse out of my garage.

Did you go to the service dealership to check what is the problem??

No not yet. Car is going in for service at AV Engineering in January so I will ask them to investigate.
Hi Bebs, what was the outcome on your reverse gear not engaging on a cold start?

Service has been moved to end of February. Remind me in March if I forget to post the outcome

Hi Bebs, following up on the reverse gear topic, are you any the wiser? Thanks
Sorry no, waiting for the 360 to be completed this week, will then swap the cars over so that AV can go to work on the GT.
Expensive month March I fear :worried1:
