Coupe prices - what's happening?

I compare (rightly or wrongly) the coupe vs the v8 vantage and a decent Vantage is early 30's. The mazza is beyond cheap in comparison.

I think people are simply scared of the trident and youtube reviews of the car are hardly glowing. With the correct suspension setup they drive brilliantly imho.

Agree with that, and regarding the majority it's borderline ignorance to dismiss.

On the plus side for current 4200 owners the drop in prices over the last 18 months plus has had a knock on effect on some used parts.

Rear lights for example 2 years ago were £150 each roughly. Some on ebay at £75 each this month.

How does a 4.2 V8 Vantage actually compare with a GS to drive? Maybe people dig the manual more? 25-30k gets you one still? I’ve not driven one…. Can’t imagine the GS coming off badly apart from perhaps the gearbox?

Tried both back to back as my friends had one. Truly felt the extra £40k they spent for a car the same age (mine was £22k) could not be felt.

This one caught my eye a couple weeks back (before I joined here). Now relisted.
Previously went unsold with a starting bid of £7k.
A rare beast I believe in the Auto.

Probably not as rare as the manuals.
Looks tidy but last serviced 2018 has it been stored for 6 years ?
Could be some recommissioning to be done and cost ££££

MOT history not too bad but last few shows it's needed corroded coil springs needing replacing for awhile so there's the first bill.

Hmmmmm... Mine were similar which then led to the underside brake pipes etc. ok if you can do a lot yourself.
Totally agree even changing the springs on a 24 year old Italian could turn into a right old job.
As you say if you can use a spanner there's a lot of potential work.

Speaking of 3200s, this silver manual one caught my eye but per the auto above it's not been serviced since 2020. Also seems a tad expensive. Thoughts?

It will be okay if it passes a PPI and you've got £10,000 in the war chest.
