Just to put this into perspective, I recently (a year ago) sold a 2007 facelift black Mini Cooper S with 58k miles, also black and with a full main dealer history for £3,750. Anyone stupid enough to think that because this was once Madonna's it's worth such a serious premium, is an idiot.

Steve McQueen's Ferrari I can understand. Madonna's not rare at all early Mini, I can't.

I’m delighted by the price rise of Mini’s associated with Madonna.

I have a 2006 Mini Cooper S Checkmate, and there’s a Madonna song with the word checkmate in it, so I reckon my car has doubled in value!

Seem to recall, not too long ago, you were waxing lyrical about the value of designer trainers. Does the same argument not apply. IMHO neither are worth the asking price - that's not to say there aren't plenty of idiots about who do.

The right trainers are far more rare than a Cooper S and the value is hardly the same. Paying a few hundred for some shoes is silly but paying 15X the value of a car is certifiable.

Some bloke called Lionel Richie might have fond memories of backseat driving - errr, no, that's wrong, it was some other Guy. Perception of value is the point.

I think that is great value, you might not have spotted in the description but it has a radio BOOST cassette!
