CEL light and code reader

Hi All,

First encounter of the GTS gremlins....

Is there anyone in the Lincoln area who might be kind enough to have a fault code reader I could use?

If not recommendations for one to buy?

Pulled away from a set of lights yesterday morning for the CEL to come on, no misfire or anything obvious otherwise. Does the light reset after a certain number of starts, or does it need resetting via a garage?

A common culprit could be ABS sensor. Did your stability/traction control light also come on? Another common culprit is lambda sensor.

No, nothing else lit up, just the CEL

Any code reader from any local garage should be able to diagnose and clear the cel so that you can then make an informed decision

Very good point given it's only the CEL

Yesterday I coodn't even spel mekanic. Now I are one!

It's a touch less modern than the one I purchased, but probably fir for purpose!!!!
