A 300 quid inspection should show if a bargain or not...............does sound too good to be true though

I'd ask for photos of the damage then have an upfront conversation with him. If you can get it for £9k, i think it's worth a punt. Factor £3k to get it perfect provided the paint match and repair are good. I don't think there's much risk and would seriously consider it myself as a spring project if I hadn't got my heart set on a Stradale.

I'd leave it well alone. There's plenty of cheap QP's about without buying cat C cars with unknown problems.

Grabs popcorn!

You'll have to wait a while Phil. I have a re-mortgage in September so I won't do anything that harms my credit score in the interim. I'd also need to sell the GS to fund one so wait a little while and then watch this space ! I think I'll sell in Spring and have to manage with "just" the BiTurbo until September. A first world problem, I know!

That's assuming I can find a nice example when i'm ready. Might take a while. I'd have the blue one at Bowkers if I was ready now although I think it's a £62k car, not a £67k car, new clutch or not.

I'd love a red one. Fat chance probably.
