Can't set date and time on infotainment

Hi all,
I have a 2011 GTS which I bought lately. I am having trouble with setting the correct date and time in the infotainment system. No matter what I choose system doesn't accept, and I see dash lines in centre display of dash instead of date and time. I tried it with GPS enabled and disabled. engine on and off and being outside or inside garage. none made any difference. Even after I replaced the battery it remained the same.

How can i sort it out? Any way to reset the settings of the system?

I only had this issue when I was bing stupid and trying to give it an impossible year. What are you doing to try and set it?
Video perhaps?

PS you are pressing the OK button on the screen to exit the setting? Not just coming out of it. I recall that if you are doing it right, there's indication that a unit has been replaced, maybe the dash binnacle, and it needs what's called a proxi alignment to get the components talking to each other. Do you have any other niggles?

I am pretty sure I’m doing it right , valid year ,month and hour , no matter what I set when pressing ok nothing happens , other functions work okay .

Thank you , my Ferrari mechanic also had a look at it and he couldn’t do it either . Is there a way reset the infotainment system to default without needing the code for it ?
Let me check today and see if I can do a tutorial.

Have you got GPS base on? Mine goes all over the shop (like those Holy souvenirs from Knock) when I have that set

I tried with both gps enabled and disabled . Made no difference. When I set the details and click okay the screen goes back the the main screen. No error or messages , and no change to the date, still dashed lines on dashboard display

Needs a dealer, but given you've already done the impossible with the key, I might well shut up :D

Another thing that I just noticed is in the car configuration where you can set what to show on the display and other options , when I press on the right rotating knob on any option, it goes back to the main screen than allowing me select the values of each option, does it mean the headunit and car lost sync ?

Ironically I reset the MPG on mine. Now I can't get that back for love nor money. Although to be fair, I've tried for 30 seconds a few times and gave up.
I know it's going to be sub 15 mpg anyway!

I think it might indeed.

Was the NIT (headunit) replaced do you know?

I’m not sure to be honest , the steering well functions work okay , and the music (jukebox or USB and CD shows I’m dash centre console . It’s only the date and time shows as dashed line.

Is there a hidden menu or a way to reset the Bose unit on these cars ? Without needing the security code if they have it

I doubt they would put it in manual , I have all the manuals including the head unit, but no mention of it there . I found a trick for Gibli headunit but it’s a different system all together .

Do you mean manual, or the academy training material?

I didn’t get round to a tutorial but I tried to change the time on mine by one hour and it took immediately. In the past I have struggled and it’s down to where you press the OK for the settings to take.
