Brief comparison!

Had a Red Letter Day driving thingy around Dunsfold this week (TG track). 360 Manual, AM DB9 & Gallardo E-Gear. I think it was Everyman racing running the event with around a million people there so plenty of hanging around and pretty limited on track as obviously they don't want you hooning it too much (if at all!). Doesn't seem to matter what you drive personally.
360 was good fun, difficult driving position and open gate box takes a little getting used too but a great car and my first V8 Ferrari drive..loved it.
AM DB9...what a barge!! (sorry Aston fans) I couldn't believe how bad it was especially compared with my GTS, which is similar weight. The Aston just didn't want to turn in, serious understeer and didn't feel that quick.
The Gallardo however was mega! What a fantastic bit if kit. Again my first time driving A Lambo and the V10 howl is nearly as good as the Masser. Flappy paddle worked well and it felt pretty sharp. I'm really smitten even with only a 4 lap drive.
Noted all the cars had mega mileage (between 50K and 80K), all had warning lights on and the Lambo dash light up like a Christmas Tree!! Cooked the brakes on the Aston and I mentioned they felt pretty bad (major juddering when hauling it down), some mechanic chap and a quick look and then promptly took someone else out in it! Don't rate them for quality machinery but a little bit a fun and nice to receive as a gift.
Any cheap Gallardo's about!!
Cheers Blu

I think you have got that pretty much spot on Blu............Funny my mate sells cars and he said he could have a shed load of DB9's up and sell everyone but he also said they never felt that quick......

I will say I drove a 360 when they came out...It had flappy paddle and it didn't do much for me............but I so want to drive a Gallardo...I've been in Dans and loved it.

Sounds like you had a great day....

Style over substance some of the AMs....agreed.....again....less hard core as a super car than Ferraris and Lambos..........nice to compare sometimes though

Sold my awful DB9 and bought a Maser - enough said!

360 manual takes some getting used to but once you have the hang of it (3000 miles for me) its so fast to change gear and fun.
