Something really satisfying about fresh new brakes, although they are painfully expensive for what they are. Picked mine up from Eurospares. Just replaced on the GS.
Really thinking about re finishing my calipers in yellow like yours. Think it would look pretty good against the colour of my car.

They look awesome .. mines are rusty and to be fair I could leave them on but let’s go bigger !.

I'm doing the same. At least when my pads are gone, i have a full set of a MC to put on the 4.2. It seems like it's quite a no brainer that when times comes to upgrade certain parts on the 4.2 to later versions. Additional costs are not that high and the extra braking power is nice. Also, when running 20" trofeo rims, it fills up the wheel a bit better.

I wonder if there is any really high quality high temp paint that would keep the freshness of the disk itself without causing heat problems? Would seem worthwhile investigating (note to silly peeps: I'm not referring the braking surfaces, just the hub and edges etc..)

Yes. VHT paint works well.

I have used Hammerite smooth silver spray for many years and have had zero issues. Keeps all the bits that go rusty looking great. This is what I have used on the brand new discs in my pics above.
I don't track my cars, but do drive hard enough to give the brakes a bit of a workout on the road. If you are really pushing on it may not hold up, but its been fine for me so far.
