Planning to replace my brake discs as part of the third group buy, any thoughts on the best pads? I was thinking of Yellow Stuff. Would this be suitable for general day to day, around town and fast driving?
Cheers

EBC Yellow Stuff. Great pads, but they are a bit dusty. However, it's a small price to pay for stopping well!

I have a track day in a few weeks on Mintex, Ill let you know how I get on but for fast road with SM brake discs they are awesome. MAF said his GS ate them, checked mine and there is loads of meat on them after a year or so of use.

I get on well with yellow stuff, but at a recent visit to Northampton Motorsport with Blu and Catman they were recommending ferodo DS2500 as a good road / track pad.

I've been running EBC yellow stuff for last 2 years and I would say not bad but poor feedback though pedel, you need to apply more pressure and not good when cold. Just ordered Ferodo DS 2500 to give them a go, about £130 for front and rears so worth a try and had good reports on them.

The later EBC Yellows, as in my Spyder, are good much better than the previous version better when cold and although quite a lot of dust much less than previously. I still prefer the DS2500 which I have in all my Alfas they are generally more expensive but better pedal feel, less fade and less dust.

I've never got on with EBC. DS2500 are great, but do need decent temperature to work well. We use them on track all the time and they take a hammering just fine. The journey to the track on a cold morning however can be err....interesting. I think it does state on the box they are not for road use.
