Boot lid and windows

Few of quick questions, for minor issues, and clarity of functions!

1. Should the boot lid pop up when I click the boot button on the key fob? It unlocks it, but I still have to lift it up by hand.
2. Drivers window goes up to the top with one pull on the button, but the passenger one I have to keep it held up or it stops going up. any ideas why that might be?
3. Also, should the windows go up or down when holding the lock/unlock button on the remote, or is this not a feature? Only asking because I had a BMW 4 series with pretty sizeable doors, but nothing like these, and if you put the windows down it was MUCH easier to get out in tight spaces. But, you need a way to put them back up after.

Thanks in advance.

1. Correct, you have to lift the lid yourself
3. That’s how they work, it’s an Italian thing
3. Not a feature as far as I am aware, but I agree it would be helpful ( my Jag does this).

1. It does not lift, only unlock and pop slightly. It's Italian
2. It's Italian
3. Not tried it, but it's Italian

Thanks, I thought those would be the answers, but worth asking.

My favourite bit of Italian engineering so far is unlocking the boot to get something out and the alarm going off because I didn’t unlock the rest of the car. Makes the boot button on the fob a little pointless.

I think we need to manage your expectations.

1. If it pops you are on a winner. Buy a lottery ticket and be happy you don’t need a new battery.

2. If the one touch works on the drivers side, you are on a winner. It’s not on the passenger side, because it would make it too easy for them to escape.

3. If you hold the unlock button for more than 5 seconds, a small star explodes on the outer edge of the universe. The windows however, stay shut.

1. It pops the lock but the lid has to be lifted by your valet.

2. It's a (safety) feature in many cars , my Suzuki Swift does the same as do the Audi Etron and Mitsubishi outlander at work. It's annoying.

3. Why are you parking in tight spaces? It's a Maserati, you have the right to park across two (or more!) spaces.

You wont be saying that when the button on the boot stops working. ;)
