Nope, I don't have the roadrunner in my car - but it sounds like it.

A couple of weeks ago I drove over some debris on the M25 and so put the car in to the garage for a precautionary check-up. They looked it over and test drove it for 25 miles, with nothing odd experienced. But in the middle of my 120 mile return journey, the car gave me a loud 'beep beep' from the rear. Just the once.

I went to take the car out today, and it just keeps doing the same thing every ten seconds, "beep beep". Again, it sounds like it's coming from the back of the car.

Any thoughts? Clearly something is up, but there are no warning lights to help me.

Nothing else seems amiss. Gear changes are fine, etc.

Well guessing a bit here but parking sensors?

If you remove the rear bench, it's mounted on the parcel shelf speaker mount, near side from memory.

Remove the seat and drive round with someone in the back???

How you fix it and what the error is I have no idea.

Also you have the tracker under the parcel shelf, could it be that signalling its battery is failing?

Cheers for replies. Yes, loud electrical beeps (chirps). Doesn't sound anything like the parking sensor beep, so don't see a relationship there. Is the tracker chirp something you have heard before, Matt? Ta, Pat

Never heard a tracker chirp before no, just thinking out loud.

It's not coming through the speakers is it?

CD stack unit in the boot....all things to check.

Suspension bushes can sometimes chirp too.

Definitely not coming through the speakers, and definitely nothing mechanical. It sounds like a very loud version of the 'ice on road' warning you get when the outside temp drops to 2 degrees.

The fact that nobody else seems to have experienced anything similar makes me suspect something aftermarket.
