As the title? I've seen a few Maserati but they seem to be the car for the mere discerning owner!

Went some years back 2009 with Loz, Enzo, Paul and others along with some partners as well.

We had a great time there and I keep promising myself to go again...maybe the next one on 2020. (Shame its just every other year)

Went in 2012 for a change to the usual 24hrs and sorry to say I didn't like it.

If you've been to the 24hrs, the classics seems like an end of season sale version of it. No TV screens up, most stuff gone or closed and racing drivers that wave at you as they go round Mulsane...not really trying hard enough and not my bag.

Positives, less traffic and less p!ssed Brits but thats all part of the charm for me.

We went in 2008 and as Matt suggests totally different vibe. I love the old cars but it's just not Le Mans

We went in 2012 as well and like you haven't been back. IIRC it rained a lot as well but as Andy said, the cars are great but the atmosphere isn't the same.

Hope the OP has a good time though!

Well, my take on the event so far...
I've not been to the real Le Mans, but some of the other chaps have, yes it's a lot quieter, but we have a great spot roped off in the woods near the porsche curves, room for 3 cars, tents and an entertaining space, with no one crowding into us.

We've met a lot of really friendly people, and seen so many cars, everyone just seems a lot more chilled out than the regular 24 - we are sort of treating it more like a car show than a race event, we got here Thursday afternoon and only made it to the grandstands this evening!

As for rain, well... We are spoilt with wall to wall sunshine! Showers are clean and not crowded where we are so it's all good, the down side... I really wish I brought my car! But a 760bhp Audi isn't too shabby!
