Any thoughts on where to go for QP V tracking in Herts UK?

I went to http://blackboots.co.uk/ last time I needed the tracking doing on my GTS and these guys were great. Very professional, and I had 2 tyres changed at the same time. You can pre-order the tyres and they'll fit them when you show up.

I had my rear Pilot Supersports put on by WiM/Blackboots & full geo alignment check & adjustment. Certainly recommended from me. Very good & worth the journey. My car has always driven spot on.

I'll be making the trip to WiM for 4 new tyres & geo in the next week or so. I've heard nothing but good things but will report back.

Looking forward to switching from the Pirellis

WIM - Feedback

Booked in Sat pm - will let you now after that!

Ok so I am £198 poorer but worth it....

Tracking was done with Hawk-eye by Tony who reckoned it the car hadn't had it done since new....so lots of work required!

But - boy - I can actually feel the difference - steering is lighter and the drive is far easier

Thanks for the tip - well happy

£198 sounds like a bargain. Do you reckon you'll save that with reduced tyre wear?
Or now that everything feels just so will you be going just a wee bit harder into the corners :)

I fear it will be the latter!

Just waiting to hear from Pirelli as although I have 4 Pzeros, one of the rears is a Porsche (OEM) rated N0. My research suggests that this is "approved" by Porsche but not sure how the tyre differs to the plain Pzero...

I'm glad to hear you were pleased with Tony's service - he really does know his stuff.

The N rated tyre will have a slightly different rubber compound but in all practical instances will make no difference whatsoever.

Thanks for that - its what I suspected - have shot of an email to Pirelli - just to be safe but at this stage I intend to run with it for the next 4000 miles!

This was Pirellis response - Voicey - you were far more helpful!

Within UK legislation there are no regulations which prohibit the mixing of different tyre patterns, speed ratings, brands or fitments.

As we produce tyres specifically designed for particular vehicles, we are only able to recommend that they are fitted to the vehicles they have been tailor made for and what the vehicle manufacturers have approved. As we do not try and test them on any other vehicle makes/models, we are unable to comment as to how there will perform.

I recommend WiM as well. Really nice bunch, and i've never met someone so knowledgeable about wheel geometry
