Had fun today, although it was a bit wet in the morning, no, very wet, so took it very steady.
The backend stepped out once, but caught it!
The afternoon was glorious, dry track and sunny.
Plenty of body roll and squeeling tyres around the bends, totally different from the morning section.
Apart from me in the Maserati and my friend in his 997 Turbo and a couple of other standard road based cars most where either caterhams, or track day specials. Find this more and more.
That made it difficult at times, a non road legal circuit car like a Honda fireblade single seater goes around the track totally different to me!
Only major incident was a BMW track special pushing to hard and found the only tyre wall on the circuit...in the last half hour before the end of the day, typical! (I avoid the last hour of circuit time for that very reason!)

Great pics. Once had a day out there in my 996, same then, all Lotus Elise's, kit cars, Radicals etc. Really it's too small for a GT car, do well to get out of 3rd gear. Great track for smaller cars though.

Thanks, shows the lines of the 'Classico' off nicely!
The circuit was completely redone a few years ago, so is bigger now. It was the GP circuit in the morning and the coastal circuit in be afternoon.
This afternoon could manage 110 in fourth, which was quite fast enough, breaking down to around 30 in second at the end!

Looks like fun....and wet......But at least the wet saves the tyre a bit...

Love the colour of your car, it really does show off the lines nicely.
In the second photo, I hope you had just passed all those little BM's, and weren't causing a traffic jam!

Of course....well maybe.....err....can't remember!
Trouble with a lot of track days, all three behind me where track day specials brought to the circuit by trailer. In comparison to the Maser all can out brake and out corner, if not touch you on the straights. You just have to let them pass until you have clear track behind.
If you have never driven your car on track, it is an eye opener. They do roll, a lot, but at the same time do stick well, you would have to do something silly on the road to unstick them, unless its wet.

I'm sure we could get enough cars together for a maser only track day? Do with the TVR.

Hi

The car looks great lovely colour and great view of the sea, its only when you see a pictures on the rack hat you realise how high these cars are and could certainly do with lowering for the track. Looks great fun though and its a chance to the car use the cars performance safely.
