So my quick Maths says thats circa £11.6k over 4 years and I would suggest it would be worth little more than a 1/3rd of the retail price in 4 years, so I am not sure as I can never work out if its worth it either, if its only to go the train station and back to keep the miles of the GTS, maybe something similar but 3 years old all ready...

2,500 a year is nothing for a second car to keep the GTs for special occasions.
Isn't the 595 quite pricey new?

i thought it was well over 25k

My cousin has a 695 , I think he got it to pushing 35k by the time he'd added all the trick bits on

I think your biggest problem with the 595 is the 6000 miles a year , they're a right laugh to drive

Add in the options you want and then check the deal. IMO it's worth 2,500 to 3000 a year on a fun car.
Saves the hassle of selling it at the end and you can budget easily

It's tempting. But £2500 a year means £10k over four years, and £8k cash buys me a perfectly nice Mini Cooper S, or Golf GTI.. hard to justify...

Are you serious? You own a GTs and start talking about justification?!
Life's too short.
You can only justify getting a 10 year old diesel golf at the bottom of its depreciation curve and 50mpg.
Everything else is lixury

Ps/ if you find a nice GTi for around 8k please send a link- I don't know much about them ( only had a GT TDi briefly) but would quite fancy one as a daily

£8k will get you in a 07 or 08 GTi with reasonable mileage (sub 50k), should be relatively low depreciation from then if you keep it to the mileage limit on the 595. Could always chop out at anytime or replace as you like
