4200 wiper failure + 200mile drive = not fun

Hi guys - any bright ideas for failed wipers on my 2004 4200? I've done all the usual turn off battery & turn it back on, there's power going to the motor, I can hear the relay (?) from inside the cabin when the wipers should be actuating, washers work (so I don't think it's a fuse)......about 200 miles from home with a very limited toolkit! There's nothing obvious under the cover (black one under the windscreen) & everything looks normal.

Any ideas to confirm the motor is U/S?

I've got rainx so suspect it'll just be a cautious trip home :-(

Thanks

What is not working, Snowflakes? They fail in a number of exciting ways, but you may well find you get full speed even if nothing else.

There is a thread: Juddering wipers FIX, which I found very useful.

Thanks Catman - nothing worked until very nice AA man in Chievely Services repeated everything I did then gave it a good wiggle & we're sorted. They're not perfect but will go through the fix on your thread to try & make them smoother! But home & safe after a very nerve wreaking two hours on the motorway!
