I think some of the jobs can actually remove the regular failure mechanisms like getting the TB and pedal pot done contactless, I have not really had any problems since I sorted that. I also think the upgrade to the Bosch starter motor and putting silicone hoses on the top of the engine while in there doing the starter all reduce the "regular" failures. However there is still the suspension ball joints which don't last, although I think putting better quality rubber boots on them when new helps a bit. There is also the shocks which don't seem to last that long without some maintenance.

Does anyone have any experience of the KW coilovers?

well I would be interested in others experience but I don't believe there is a 3200 ever made that would run for 10k KM without some thing going wrong, its just not possible? I am tidying up all the issues at the moment for the 20th anniversary trip in October and would expect a couple of years with only minor problems. perhaps 6-8k km with only service work but I would be expecting trouble within 3 years again.

Currently have three 3200 here along with a rather large parts mountain.

All rubber parts on the car are prone to failure, I think this is due to the high quality rubber used by maserati and Ferrari at the time. The Roose kits are great.

I think garaging a car helps massively. Also being competent spanner monkey is vital to keeping costs down, these cars seem to have constant niggles so ringing a specialist every time something crops up will cost a fortune.
