Another opens, can't really say I ever gelled with the 4200 , every time I got in it one or other lights was on so when the AC packed up and the airbag light came on I decided to call it a day,, never had a car on finance before but decided bottom of the market supercars are a bad idea so started looking at Mustangs

Yesterday I spent a very enjoyable day collecting my first ever in 40 years of driving brand new car and I love it

started with some build up which actually was a build up because I'd only seen pictures of the colour

Then when they pulled the cover off

In its natural habitat

The drive back up the A50-M6 was a nightmare so I took a back road round donnington park which led me onto a 1/2 mile medieval bridge which felt like I had 2" between the cars opposite and a brick wall, it's very wide and the doors are massive

Like the look of that, again a rare car in the UK.

Shame about the 4200 but can understand the reasons for calling it a day.

Enjoy, is that a 5.0? They do look a handful if you check YouTube!

That looks stunning in yellow, good choice of colour.
Maybe see it at a 'cars in the park event'?
Do you know where your 4200 has gone?

Sold it to a guy in Preston, I intend taking the mustang to a few shows but won't be doing any exits like the ones on YouTube

Thanks , it is the 5.0 , Shadow Edition , no chrome and a few extras , reverse sensors / shaker stereo , highlight stripes, cooled seats
Any 400bhp car driven on cold tyres with the traction control off could lose control but mustangs seem especially good at it , like maserati Ford seem keen on Pirelli pzero tyres , a number of owners have reported much improved grip with PS4s tyres on

Just had a look on the Ford web site, apparently there is also a new face-lifted Mustang, you will have to call yours a Mustang Classico !!
Noticed the new Mustang has the option of a 10, yes 10 speed auto! My Stag manages okay with just 3!

Friend of mine traded in his GT 4.2 auto for one of those a couple of months ago, same colour as well, apparently you can tune them up to 650bhp without it affecting the warenty.

Certainly a statement.
I think they drive well having worked on a few at Ford last year.
Enjoy your new car.

This is a manual I didn't want an auto , the facelifted car has more power as well as the 10 speed , I think the 0-60 is under 4s but it comes at a price

The shadow edition is a run out car so comes with extras , the facelift isn't on 0% finance plus they're pushing 50k with a few extras on , the salesman said he'd worked out the difference on a my17 & my18 for the same spec and it was 11k plus the 18 wasn't on 0%

This mustang was the same price as an 8 year old Granturismo without any of the worry and no interest on the finance

Love that as a statement not shy.
Any interior pics. On 0% and brand new I can understand your logic. I still think GTs’s are great VFM though, and would have been worth a look at that price point. Let us know how you get on

IMO the biggest issue with Maserati is the parts and servicing costs , this is a 420bhp car but the service package is £620 for the 3 years / 3 services, couple that to the 3 year / 60k warranty compared to the £££ that could arise on a 8 year old GT for similar money when it's service time

To put it in perspective this mustang is pretty much the same money as a BMW 320D20180616_164154.jpg20180616_164246.jpg20180616_164950.jpg

Great choice! We have one in our fleet. Lovely motor. You need stripes and a cat back!
