4200 Front wheel Bearing - or lack thereof

Red Shed has now been off the road for more than two months waiting on a front wheel bearing. I've got a couple on order with Eurospares but they are waiting on restock from Italy. I've since tried various sources and it seems there are none anywhere. Does anyone know better? Would be rightly pi$$ed off if this was my daily driver and not just a toy. So if you have a bearing you don't need, I'm buying.

Have you got any contact details for these people, or are they all on here?

Nobody has them, next batch not due until Mid July. What a crock, that'll be almost 7 months and FCA wonder why people don't buy Maserati

Try Douglas Valley Breakers (Steve Strange) They have a few 32's and 42's

Would not like to fit a second hand bearing, there's no guarantee what state it might be in.

Well, if new ones aren't available its that or do without your car for a few months, you could always fit a used one until new ones come in, then swap them over, depends how bothered you are at the prospect of not having use of car.

Why can't you just get the part numbers off the old bearing and order it from a bearing supplier's .. press the old one out of the hub carrier and the new one in!

It's an SKF Bearing, and Zep tried to press an old bearing out but to no avail!

If only we could go direct to SKF...

There's a place in Rugby who order SKF stuff direct from Germany, check out SKF's on line catalogue for part numbers

I tried that a few years ago when I needed a bearing. Looking at this new one, there's no markings on it that denote an SKF part number on it, just SKF. It's like Maserati told SKF not to put any part number on it ...

What Maserati tying suppliers in knots, preventing people getting the same part for an Alfa 166 for a quarter the price? That would be unprecedente... Ah, well maybe not eh Mr Valeo?
