had this lovely blue 4200 in to repair some damage that was caused by a contractor. so washed the whole car and prep the bonnet - which in the heat we had on Saturday was a panel at a time.

left out the before pic ;)

once the overall paint thickness was measured, onto scratch 1: surface scratch which just need a machine polish

now for the worst mark

this took little more sanding that planned, it was then machine polished.
The mark is still visable, but I didn't want to take any more top coat off than needed

the wing was also covered in marks and got most of them out but didn't take any before pics... Doh!

just end results:

its was only booked in for the bonnet and I wanted to the rest of the car but no time so did a few tidy up jobs - oversall it took about 8 hour.

I was lucky to be able to drive her, sadly only in and out of the unit but what a sound :) the 4200 seemed alot more raw on pull away than my GS. just seemed to want to go, were the GS seems more relaxed. not sure how to explain it, 4200 was like it had launch control but the GS I could craw into the unit.

next door popped over and asked if I had resprayed mine - nop decided to get another one as they are SO GOOD ;) not really mines in the unit it bits :(

I looks to be the same colour combo as mine, sebring blu and beige with blue piping, even down to the red calipers.
Can't really tell in the photo's but mine has red sparkles in the blue if you look closely.
Nice job!

Enzo, same power, different gearbox software plus the GS handles better so it feels more secure and hence less wild.

Good job BTW

2500, 3000, 4000 sanding disc and cutting / finishing compounds

need to make sure you have good thickness of paint, and best to check paint thickness as you sand
