206. A new record. Whilst I'm not sure it's the sort of record that's especially good, I'll take my wins where I find them.

Can’t see a thread for 2023?

I had a bit of a health scare / wake up call earlier this year and had to start blood pressure meds.

It motivated me to try and lose some weight and get a bit fitter.

Three months on I have been able to halve the meds and have lost just over 5kilos

No major change and no diet as such, just cutting out some of the **** and cutting down on the booze a bit. Combined with evening walks and getting out on my bike once or twice a week.

I probably have 10 kilo to go - wish me luck

Get an exercise bike, set it up in front of the telly, and binge on your favorite tv shows. Just once a day, 20-30 mins. Easy exercise. I lost over 20kgs using this method.

I have a really good cross trainer that I stopped using due to a shoulder injury, but it’s coming in from the garage at the weekend and into the spare room / TV.

I am 60 on St George day so that’s my current focus.

Congrats...! Keep up the good work.

The booze is a real big deal. When I finally quit, excess weight just melted off and stayed gone...it's pretty good being my age and wearing the same size pants I wore at 16...

I have been sticking to my walking with a target of 50 miles per week, currently running ahead of that halfway through week 10 and 55 miles under the belt to date kept the weight that I lost in 2021 off and feel much better for it - although this mornings snow flurries might limit todays activity

Thanks for the encouragement guys, small steps and nothing drastic but happy to be heading in the right direction.
