...and being a 60/2010 model, no variator issues. A lovely looking car and a great price.

Well - that didn't take long. Now sold to another forum member and being collected tomorrow morning.

Well done glad it went so quickly as it was priced far too cheap. I'm glad other forum members exist who put a deposit down on cars without seeing them in the flesh....

Lets face it that was never going to hang about at that money. Bit quicker sale than your QP Ewan. Well done.

Everyone loves a bargain!
But it goes to show that there are buyers out there. Within 24 hours of advertising I had five messages from forum members, two offers, and three visits planned. One member committed quicker than the others so got the deal.
He's due to collect at 10am this morning, so all being well, he'll be having a weekend of fun in a fantastic car.

Well done Ewan!
PPI on the 612 came back with a few potential concerns, awaiting for a quote to get all issues sorted but it doesn’t look good...
I guess your car’s off the market now... my loss! I am glad it went so quickly. Definitely priced to sell!!

That must make yours the best on the market at that price bracket Phil. It'll sell.

£30,995 now, on Pistonheads too at that price too. Silly amount of car for that money.

Madness. At this rate I'll be holding for a Strad come 2020!

Assuming I can resist temptation that long......

Problem is that with the GranTurismo the market is doing exactly what it always has with Italian coupes in that miles kill values. Athol's car sold in no time but it is a limited run model and only had 2000 miles pa on it. Use these cars as many have including me and they 'enjoy' the normal depreciation curve. My 61 plate auto 4.7 banging the door on 50k miles is probably debating whether its trade price now begins with a 2. I just wish that they would replace the GranTurismo as its time for a change.

Well on the one hand, mine is dropping in value, and I'll continue to use it.
On the other hand, it appears that the higher spec models are dropping faster, so I'll have less of a gap to close. Which is nice :)

Indeed, of course the gap is relative so will fall in ££ in time. What worries me more with the GranTurismo is that we are entering that age old problem area where maintenance costs are too much relative to used values for a ten year old car, hence people miss stuff and the cars whither away to scrap. Of course you could do small miles and values will be fine but all in you will still drop ££ long term as maintenance does not go away. Maserati need to sort out parts costs and longevity, suspension bushes being a good example as the parts are not fit for purpose.

Bob is right, miles always kill value on Italian premium cars. Why the surprise?

Maybe, but of course, they are still in production (or have they just gone out?) I'd have *thought* that would encourage a higher maintenance input. But maybe not <shrug>

Either way I'm looking forward to my upgrade
