    Power steering fluid

Had a search on here and other places but can’t find a definitive answer. I need to top up my power steering fluid and the recommended is Shell spirax S1ATF TASA. Does anybody know of an alternative to this as I’m finding it difficult to source. 2014 Ghibli

    Heathrow Parking

Has anybody had any experience of meet and greet parking at Heathrow. Looking at the comparison sites they all seem to offer the same sort of service, drop off and collect at the terminal short stay car park. Prices for12 days range from £70-300.

    Ghibli III Front wheel bearings

Had my 2014 Ghibli with 30k miles MOT today. I got an advisory on very slight play on the front wheel bearings. I was surprised at that mileage. Have any of the Ghibli boys had any bother with wheel bearings.

    Bali

Has anybody had any experience with Nasa Dua beach resort in Bali. I don’t normally book holidays this far in advance but Mrs. 1963 saw some deals and we’ve taken a punt for June next year. Considering it’s only costing £400 more than the same amount of nights in the UK it seems a bit of a bargain.

    Route 66

2023 sees both myself and Mrs. 1963 turning 60 and to soften the blow we thought that we would like to drive Route 66. Has anybody on the forum done it? As I see it there’s 3 ways to do it, by car and hotel, in an RV or as part of an official tour on a coach. I’ve ruled the coach out straight...

Anybody use this sort of thing?

Does anybody use one of these inline water softener/deioniser units? We both have dark coloured cars and I’m getting fed up with water spots. I never wash the cars in sunlight and even on cold days I end up with water spots. Tried all sorts of detailing stuff without much success...

    Spark plugs

I did an oil and filter change on my Ghibli petrol today. You have to take out one of the air filters to get decent access to the oil filter. I wasn’t overly surprised to find that at the last service in January the air filters hadn’t been changed, same with the pollen filter. So I’m going to...

    New to me Ghibli

After 3 years of of considering a Maserati, yesterday I took the plunge and placed a deposit on a rather nice Ghibli 3.0s in blue emozione with Sabbia interior. 24000 Miles near immaculate condition and very well optioned. Serviced up to date and 12 months belt and braces warranty with warranty...

    Ghibli servicing

I’ve seen a 3.0s 2015 Ghibli that I really like and has the options that I require. But, and there’s always a but, I had a chat with a salesman today and asked about the service history. It was registered in June 2015 and had its first service in July 2017 @ 15000miles. The next service was...

    Ghibli 3.0 petrol

I’ve just waved bye bye to my BMW 650. So it’s time to find a replacement. The Ghibli 3.0 petrol is on my list. Does anyone own one or has owned one in the past?

    Domestic safe

Have any of you guys any recommendation for a domestic safe. It’s something I’ve had at the back of my mind an experience the other night quickly brought it to the front. Around midnight I was sat minding my own business in the room next to the kitchen and I heard the door open. I thought I was...

    Internet booster

Because there seems little point in planning any travel this year my wife has got a full time job starting in a few weeks. She will be working from home and we’ve decided to convert our fully insulated garden room into an office. Only problem is the WiFi is a bit patchy so my question is does...

    Car prices 2021

So, bizarrely car prices in 2020 seemed to have gone up. I’m talking about high end cars such as Maserati, Jaguar, Porsche,Mercedes, BMW etc. An unusually low number of cars for sale obviously pushes prices up but what do people generally think the markets going to do this year once the true...

    Torque wrench

Can anybody recommend a decent mid range torque wrench. I bought a cheap Silverline one ages ago but the dial on it is a bleeder to read. Looking for 60 to 200nm range roughly.

    2007 QPV

On the face of it this looks a decent car. Previous advisories for brakes which may or may not have been done. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202008032049257

    Thoughts on this car please

This is my first post on this section of the forum. Was looking at buying a 4200 coupe a couple of years ago but bottled out and bought a BMW 650 which is a great car but that Maserati itch has returned. A 4 door car would suit my needs much better, so the research has started. Basically my...

    Anybody near slough

Is there anybody near Slough who wouldn’t mind having a look at a 4200 for me. It’s at R&W motor co on the horton industrial estate. It looks a decent car is in my budget but I just can’t get over there in the next couple of weeks. If anybody has the time I would be very grateful. Thanks Simon

    4200 workshop manual

Hi, I've been looking for a workshop manual for the 4200 and come across several posts offering downloads but most of them are a few years old now. Does anybody have one and would they be kind enough to let me have a copy. I'm into the research phase of looking for a 4200 and wanted to have a...

    Another new member

Good morning everyone, I'm starting the hunt for a 4200 (currently got a pan Alfa Brera) as a weekend car. I'll have between 10 and 15k to spend I'm fairly good with the spanner's although I realise that the 4200would need specialist care in certain areas. So I'm going to trawl through the...
