    Thoughts on this Japanese import

What does the collective think - it's got the glass rear window, therefore stiffer chassis and less scuttle shake - or is that just talk...

Long lasting bushes of a suspension kind?

Given all the bushes talk reminded Mr RR came across some suspension bushes from Uxbridge-based Powerflex while watching Petrol Pep on YouTube. Has anyone come across them and if they do what they say is it worth further investigations?

    Wind Deflector securing straps replacement

Age has got the better of the rubber straps that hold the wind deflector on my spyder in place - any ideas, other than cable ties, on how to replace would be gratefully received. Many thanks

Battery issue with a difference - any thoughts please?

I use the isolator switch (thanks Matt it's excellent now) when I know the car will be tucked up in his stable for over a week but waking everything up once the switch is turned off is proving a challenge. The alarm requires setting several times and when that fails (as it did yesterday) we have...

    Condensation query

Pullling my spyder out of his drafty stable to exercise him (it was sunny, salt gone and he’d sat idle for a couple of weeks) I noticed a lot of moisture in the engine bay and on parts of the front wheels. Any ideas - he’d gone in dry - I’m just guessing it’s the change in temperature that...

Bavaria in autumn - help please

Knowing some of you live/lived/have experience of Bavaria I’d appreciate some help as we are planning to do the 280 mile German Alpine Route that snakes just north of the Austrian Alps from the Lindau on the Bodensee, through Oberammergau, Ettal (and it's beer brewing monks!!), Garmisch...

Steering on my 4200 spyder goes heavy sometimes - any ideas please

Could this be problem on our 3000 mile Alpine tour with several twisty passes!! The steering sometimes goes stiff and needs a bit of effort - what would you suggest. We've got international breakdown cover and know tyre pressure makes a massive difference to handling.

Windscreen for 02 Spyder - desperately wanted

I've just noticed two internal cracks so, apparently, the windscreen needs replacing - part number 66664100. But as it has been discontinued with Maserati and the classic factory finding one is proving a serious challenge - so can anyone help please. The car is due to be romping round the Alps...

Drive it Day - Sunday 24 April

Anyone wanting to join me on this. I'm doing this charity event with my insurance company, Cherished Vehicles who is raising money for Worcestershire's Acorns Children's Hospice and think it could be even more fun with a handful of Maseratis. Thoughts on Auto-Seal puncture prevention please

A 3k mile 3 week grand tour with many passes down through the Alps/Garda/Dolomites is planned for June. Insurance to include consequential loss in the case of a puncture (difficult to get) is obtained, but we still don’t want one so are thinking of putting Auto-Seal into the tyres. They will...

Wrinkle gold plenum paint supplier found - or am I hallucinating?

I fear I may be hallucinating as I can't find it, but last summer did someone post about a supplier of the gold plenum paint for a 4200. If so please tell. Many thanks.

Kineton Village Classic Car show Tomorrow

Forecast is good so we are off to Kineton tomorrow (Sunday Dec 5) - it's either that or put up Christmas decorations - no brainer really!. The event is poorly presented on Facebook - so I can't give any details. Leaving from Pershore, we are planning to get there around 10/10.30 so post if you...

    Invisible mobile speed camera motorbikes

Close shave yesterday, but thanks to the flashes from on-coming traffic leaving a spot where there is quite often the big white speed camera van we weren't speeding. But the van wasn't there!! Instead a bit further up the road, tucked well into the verge, a really hard to spot motorbike. Hum -...

    Beauty and the beast

Spotted at Wheels on Wednesday - except it was brought forward because of the new Covid rules - in a real variety of metal, along with many Mclarens, Lambos, and several golden oldies. A couple of masers - nice to meet you Nik3200GT and a possible new forum member.
