    CEL...Don't Panic....DON'T PANIC.

Conaero, worked through your check list and all ok. I'll check the wiring to the clutch position sensor under the car and then it's time for a proper scan tool.

    The Low Loader Thread

True, time to reflect. To be honest it was a lovely sunny day whilst we were waiting in the car park;, then a 'Brucie Bonus' when Jordan Henderson (footballer) walked around the corner and had a chat. really nice guy. Next stop was the pub to reflect, whilst waiting for the tow truck, on how...

    CEL...Don't Panic....DON'T PANIC.

Car is outside garage at present and it's getting dark, so, will complete the checklist tomorrow when I can get it inside. Thanks for your input. Phew! it's been a busy day.

    CEL...Don't Panic....DON'T PANIC.

Pump primes when opening door, tested several times. Cannot select 1st or R. car rolls freely and gear indicator shows N. Dozy me didn't make a note of the codes before I cleared them, think P08..... something.

    CEL...Don't Panic....DON'T PANIC.

Had the battery on Ctek charger and showing stage 4, (ready). Tried starting but no joy. A weird thing is the oil pressure gauge is showing 4.5bar, all other gauges reading ok. Hope it's not an earthing fault.

    CEL...Don't Panic....DON'T PANIC.

Clutch was replaced by reputable specialist, Aug 2020, I've done just over 2k miles since. I may ring them tomorrow to see if they have any ideas. Don't really want to shell out for another clutch change.

    CEL...Don't Panic....DON'T PANIC.

First run out in the 4200CC for a couple of weeks and OMG a CEL followed by the Gearbox Fault light. The car drove ok and gears changed up and down the box, in sport mode and out of sport mode. Managed to read the codes, with my cheapo code reader, which were two clutch position faults. I...

    MOT shame.

Just had my MOT completed by a local independent garage who are very friendly and appreciate the nuances of the 4200 CC. I always remind him of the LSD re: the brake test and he always confirms 'he remembers'. The great news, for me, is that my car passed without any advisories but I must...

    HOW TO: Heater Matrix Repair

A lot of the foam wrap insulation on the wring harnesses around the centre console area were a horrible sticky mess on my '04 car. I'm sure it was because of the coolant leak from my matrix. Had to clean it all off and re-wrap. It just adds time to the job but gives peace of mind too. Good luck...

    Wax on wax off.

OMG! This morning's Sahara rain storm has covered the very clean car with a light dusting of orange sand. That'll teach me to clean the car in 'Summer'. :as001 (2):

    Wax on wax off.

Today I washed the car, dried it off and polished with Autoglym Super Resin Polish. The dumb question now is, do I need to wax it for protection?

    Matrix Matters.

Ok, I'll fess-up. 4 spares..... Two that were changed because of head/thread damage and two that were not worth the effort of re-installing because they were part of the small trim piece that bridges across the top of the steering column. Phew! confession is good for the soul.

    Matrix Matters.

Mission accomplished. It seems to have taken ages but I've cleaned all the 'sticky' from the associated plastic parts as well, while I had them off and re-wrapped the wiring harnesses around the centre console. Been out for a couple of test drives, with heater on 23deg. and all seems ok. I left...

ABS/ ASR - Another one with problems!

Try this website, it's dedicated to the 3200 and has a forum. https://www.maserati3200.net/ I think it's affiliated to one of the frequent posters on here. Good luck.

    Sticky buttons sorted today

That's an interesting thought. Whilst doing my leaky heater matrix I noticed all the foam wrap around the console wiring harnesses, for the radio/display etc., had gone really gooey, like the buttons. I spent hours stripping sticky soggy foam wrap off the harnesses and re-wrapping with fabric tape.

    Matrix Matters.

Heater box out and matrix re-fitted ready to put back into position. Matrix was wet down each side and the heater box had residue in the bottom, so at least it looks like the decision to change was the correct one. Now for the easy part, put it all back together, any bets on how many 'spare'...

    Matrix Matters.

Latest update on my matrix replacement. Eventually removed the dashboard and ventilation ducting. What a right Royal PITA that was and to be fair I gave myself more hassle because of limited access in my garage. It's easier if you can have both doors wide open, for freedom of movement, in and...

    Matrix Matters.

Getting on with stripping the dash out and noticed a GPS module stuck to the top of the speedo binnacle. I'm wondering if this is the GPS for the navigation system or part of the Navtrak tracking device? Anyone seen this before?
