Recommend me a fun small car ...

Mito. Its Punto/Corsa based so compact but well packaged with 4 good seats. Cheap to buy and run and mine was reliable. Only 3 doors though.

    New stable mate

Congratulations on the purchase of a fabulous car. I'm contemplating buying once next spring and would welcome any tips based on your search and buying experience. Running reports would also be most welcome please and how you find the ownership experience compared to the 430. I was encouraged...

    Gransport wanted

I know the owner of the wrapped car, John, and have seen the car several times. He's owned and cherished it for several years and simply fancies a change. The wrap was an attempt to achieve a change without changing the car, but he fancies something different. When I last saw it pre wrap it...

Partial Orphan Partial Defector to the Aston Side

Nice one Dean. Personally I'd keep the red rear lights and lose the stuck on bits as I think they spoil the lines. The Gayden era book is £20/25 new on Pistonheads. I think I read that squeaky brakes is common on the Vantage.

    Selling my 4200 & Chimaera - 2 into 1 - Thoughts on replacement?

I recommend buying the Gayden era Astons book via pistonheads, which certainly helped me determine what I wanted when I bought my Aston back in the spring.

    Selling my 4200 & Chimaera - 2 into 1 - Thoughts on replacement?

Dean, just be aware that as well as more torque the 4.7 had a raft of quality improvements including better paintwork. Look out for bubbling around door handles etc. with 4.3. Vantage would be my choice in your position.

    3200 GT Power Steering Pump

The small amount of recommissioning isn't quite finished then. Perhaps a little premature to be advertising it to forum members.

New GT owner... with problems :(

With your preference for an auto I think a 4.7 is where the value is. More grunt than a 4.2, much cheaper than an MC Shift and often found in nice blue with beige combos. As you say, Vantage prices have dropped a chunk and are difficult to dismiss compared to an MC Shift at similar money.

    Series II Sebring for sale

Saw it at the London Classic Car Show. Yes, stunning. When I see something like that it turns my thoughts to something from the 60s or 70s, rather than 21st century, for a weekend toy.

Some questions 94 non abs Ghibli

Congratulations on the purchase. Looks lovely and something of a bargain to my mind.

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG W211 – anyone got one? Or know anyone?

I struggle to understand the point of investment features at the moment. Do market "experts" sincerely believe that values are going to continue to rise? I suggest the market has peaked and values will drop for the next 2 years and then stay flat a while. So, to my mind, anything bought now...

    Fulvia 1600 HF

That one has been for sale for some time. I don't think anything is selling at the moment.

    2014 (64) GranTurismo Sport - 4.7 V8 MC Auto Shift

Yes well done indeed if it is sold already. Or have you decided to keep it until the FF arrives?

    Nice-looking 1997 Ghibli for sale

The car is featured on this weeks episode (Quest, 9pm Wednesday). Looking forward to finding out what they paid for it and what work was carried out other than a mop and polish. I know they didn't bother fixing a leaking diff. The episodes appear to have been filmed last summer and a few cars...

That looks very nice. Surely too cheap for a good example?

    Lovely GTS

I really like this GTS Richard Grace has just got in. MC Handling suspension and all the carbon (bar the splitter). https://www.richardgracecars.co.uk/for-sale/maserati-granturismo-s-mc-shift/309 It would get my money over the GS LE he has in stock at the same price and it would be...

Calling Gransport owners - a few questions

A couple of sources told me the GTS is more expensive to run than a GS because expensive consumables for the GTS, such as brakes, had to be sourced from the manufacturer. There are aftermarket options available to GS owners. Thanks to this forum that is changing so I'd expect the GTS to cost...

Calling Gransport owners - a few questions

I'll refer you back to my earlier post re the black car. Very short ownership and questionable reason for sale. Yes PPI a good idea. Maybe speak to Richard Grace. He probably knows about the car.

Calling Gransport owners - a few questions

Jon, I'd be inclined to discount depreciation as a deciding factor. There are signs that GS prices have peaked as the market corrects itself and a GS retailing at £30k could easily be only £20k for a private sale in a years time. Did anyone look at the black car? A while back that would have...
