    3200 Thermostat

Actually all the thermostats produced are produced as fail safe ;) How many 3200 GT's do we see with open thermostats? Basically all used ones. How many cot stuck closed? It's the spring inside that pushes the thermostat open. The wax filling prevents it from opening. Until it fails.

    3200 Thermostat

Rather not. It is constructed under the fail-safe principle which means in case of failure it gets stuck open.

Saving a 3200 from the scrap heap!

I would have a new aftermarket (but high quality) windshield for 500€ in Austria. But I assume, sending it to UAE would cost a fortune.

    Engine Oil for the 3200

To what I read was that Maserati had a contract with Petronas which in 1998 only produced this Selenia Racing 10W-60 Oil. I'm also using a 10W-50 Ester Oil instead. The Selenia Racing engines I had opened, all had black dirt in their cylinder heads. I can hardly imagine this does any good to the...

Any tips on how to remove turbos

Shouldn’t they come out with the cylinderhead?

Any tips on how to remove turbos

I remember these 3 bolts were a true pain to remove. Each bolt needed a different approach to remove. For one I had to build a special tool out of a 8mm Inbus which I had to move with a box wrench. BUT: I did not need to heat them up. A loud ping and they went loose. Mounted them with heat...

Window with mind of its own!

So it goes up and then down when you open the door? Just a little bit of describing the issue might help solving it

    3200GT origin

Funny thing with Japanese is that they prefer exotic cars to be LHD as it boosts the status of exoticness.

4200 coupe boot release glovebox button not working

There is a relay in the trunk next to the battery that prevents opening while the engine is running. If it is stuck, it won’t open. Try bridging the contacts with a clip to try if it works.

4200/GS alternative space saver from a Mercedes SL R230

A spare tire will do its job even in 30 years, if you don’t leave it laying around inflated with 4 bars for several years.

    Front Tie Rod removal

Holy ****! That’s some serious stuff! I never gave the advice to hit the carrier. Just on the rod! Bing bong and out with the rod. No X-Ray or scientists needed to be involved in this action.

    Front Tie Rod removal

It went out with little force! One hit and it was out. I strongly doubt it did any damage ;) If I had to use force, I had used a tool.

    Front Tie Rod removal

Hmmm... As I (non English mother-tong) understand the tie rod is the rod that performs the steering? I hit it out with a hammer on the side and unscrewed it in the center part. Then count the turns when unscrewing. I turned it in again the same windings and the alignment is still perfect!

    3200 Window judder!

Had this repaired twice last year. Once the wrong and once the right way. The first time I aligned the plates so they had tight contact and slammed the alloy tooth with a nut. But it came loose again after some weeks. The second time I used a 10t press and a big screw to press the alloy from...

Gears not selecting - new clutch fitted only 5 years ago

Thanks for your reply! I thought it was the release bearing. I have seen so many GT's with new clutch's at around 60k. km and it was always the bearing that failed but hey, once you are in there... Mine failed this year but since I did the job myself, I left the old clutch in and will hopefully...
