Newbie from the Highlands of Scotland, potential 3200 buyer

Welcome to the forum. I'm a bit further South than Alan, in Fife. I've had mine for about six years and they are a hoot to drive. She is cared for by the same person as Alans and is off for her annual service and a belt change, next week. Tales of unreliability are grossly exaggerated and she...

How to remove 3200 Fuel Pump?

You could make your own tool from a piece of plastic drainage pipe with the correct diameter ( six inches or so should be enough). Cut the lugs out of one end and drill a couple of holes in the other so that you can put a bar through for leverage. It works on the SAAB fuel pumps but haven't...

    Pic of the day

I was sorting through some old vinyl records today and found these old classics :- What do you guys think?

    Pic of the day

When we started being bombarded with American TV shows, I think and when pumpkins were made readily available. They do smell better than turnips after a few days though.

    Hit And Run

Jeez, that's awful. I hope you recover quickly. I have zero tolerance towards hit and run drivers. We sometimes think that these things happen to other people but as you've shown, it can happen to any of us at any time.

    Maseratis - Spotted

That would have been me in the black 3200. Orange Lamborghini, red Ferrari spyder, Aston v8 DBS, lovely Datsun 260Z and a few nice Porches. Through Spean Bridge and up to Mallaig, then back to Fort William, then Ballachulish for the night. Back home through Glencoe this morning.

Has anyone owned their car from new, or know all the owners?

I bought my Saab 99 turbo new in 1979. Still have it and it's on 60,000 miles. No good for your article this time Nayf as it's having a bit of work done to bring it back to it's formal glory.

    Terrible Jokes Thread

I tried to make an appointment with the doctor because I feel that I am shrinking. I was upset with the receptionist because I couldn't be seen for over three weeks. She told me I'd just have to be a little patient.

    HAPPY ST GEORGE'S DAY

Happy St Georges Day. Nothing wrong with a bit of patriotism. We should all be proud of where we come from.

Cars that should do well over the next 10years

Certainly worth a look. At 1985, it would be a 'flat front' model, so a bit rarer and more expensive than the facelift one. My Masser shares the garage with Saabs. They seem to fly under the radar ( to use their advertising theme ) so that keeps the prices low and spare parts cheap but it's...

Cars that should do well over the next 10years

SAAB used the engine under license from BL when it was 1709cc. It caused so many problems, SAAB bought the rights to it and developed their own version. It was bored out to 1850cc and then 1998cc and became an almost bullet proof engine (weak part was the jack shaft to drive the water pump)...

    Happy New Year Folks

Happy New Year to all. Looking forward to a years trouble free Maserati motoring in the 3200 - well, maybe not. Am I the only sado who goes to the garage to wish a happy new year to my Italian beauty?

    My Assetto Corsa

Well done Alan. Some things are just meant to be. I saw her when I was at Phils in November and it's good to learn that she's back home.

Sale of ICE cars 9 years left

I seem to remember reading about the development of ICE and the commercial requirements were part of the switch to ICE over steam and consequent lack of development. I think it is the same with EV. Commercial requirements are the ability to haul heavy loads over long distances and I can't see EV...

    Latest MC20 Teasers

It's as much as I hoped for and better than I expected and so good to see them back where they belong. Out of my price range unfortunately but I can dream - even at my age. Quite happy to take on a members 2 seat Stradale when they decide to trade up though.
